While doing so the ladies attend society parties and meet a handsome stranger, and many ladies of the city. James continues to send Lia letters but she never responds to them. When time comes for Lia and her friends to leave she is told her faithful family friend Edmund is going to take them to Altus. The journey is long and hard, with many trials along the way. Can Lia get the pages needed to solve the prophecy? And can she and her friends avoid the souls that want Lia to help them.

I was worried I wouldn't like this book, but just the opposite. I loved it. I loved the love story twist that is thrown in, and how it plays into what happens. I love the connection that occurs, and feel that there is more to his abilities then we are told in this book.
